Finding a venue for a private event in Vilnius Old Town usually means one of two things: a restaurant function room with a set menu, or a club where you cannot hear anyone. We are the third option. Vanagai is a cocktail bar on Stiklių gatvė, in the heart of the Old Town, and for an evening it can be entirely yours.
A big room, not a corner
The room is over 100 square metres — a single, warm, open space with wood, amber light, and plenty of seating, the kind of place you settle into for a long evening rather than squeeze a table out of. That size matters for an event. You can take the whole bar for a sit-down group, open it up for a standing reception, or split the difference. We are a few doors from the corner at Stiklių g. 4, the old glassmakers' street — central enough that guests can find it on foot, quiet enough that the evening stays yours.
What people throw here
The format is flexible, so the occasions are too. People book Vanagai for birthday parties and milestone birthdays, corporate events and company parties, team-building evenings and office Christmas parties, end-of-year and end-of-project celebrations. It works for a product launch, a brand event, or a press night; for client entertaining, networking evenings, and conference after-parties.
On the personal side: hen parties (mergvakaris) and stag parties (bernvakaris), engagement parties, wedding after-parties, anniversaries, graduations, and leaving drinks. If you want something with a little structure, we can run a cocktail tasting or a guided flight through the Lithuanian signatures. And if the reason is just that it is Friday and there are forty of you — that works too.
The drinks
We build the list with you. That can mean our Lithuanian signature cocktails — forest berry, cherry, and spring herbs — the classics done properly, or something made for the occasion. In summer there is the full spritz menu: big, cold, and made for a crowd. Add Lithuanian draft beer, wine by the glass or bottle, and coffee for the long haul. We take a limited number of private evenings and we like to do them properly. Tell us the date, the rough number of guests, and the kind of night you have in mind — seated dinner, standing reception, tasting, or open bar — and we put together something that fits, with a clear sense of what it takes to have the place to yourselves.
